The web interface for the FireBrick is mainly intended to be used by use of a web browser, however, there are a number of cases where the use from scripts or tools can be useful. This appendix covers some of the ways the FireBrick web interface can be used. Some of these are already mentioned in other sections, such as customised CQM archiving URLs, and so not repeated here. We also do not cover loading and saving a new config.
There are a great many tools for accessing web pages, in a variety of languages. Please feel free to use whichever tools you are happy with.
In this section we suggest the use of the linux command line tool curl, and all of the examples are based on this.
